Goa, Nov 20 (ANI): Movie buffs would get a taste of Indian as well as foreign films as 11-day International Film Festival of India (IFFI) is going to kick-off from Thursday (November 20) in Goa. The event will be inaugurated at Shyama Prasad Mukherjee stadium in Bambolim and offer a wide variety of 110 films and 28 Oscar entries. The chief guest of the 45th edition of IFFI will be Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan. The event will also pay tribute to British filmmaker Richard Attenborough, who died in August this year. Special homage will also be paid to Bollywood actors including Zohra Sehgal, Suchitra Sen and Farooq Sheikh. Northeast region will be a special focus and nine northeast films will be showcased at the festival. The opening film at the festival will be 'The President' directed by Iranian filmmaker Mohsen Makhmalbaf.
