The trailer of Suriya's "24" was released Monday, April 11, and it has been well-received by the audience. A little over two minute long video is packed with action, sentiment and romantic sequences.
Actor Suriya dominates the most part of the clip with his multiple avatars and impresses the viewers with his strong screen presence in the trailer. Samantha looks cute in her limited space and Nithya Menen makes blink-and-miss appearance. The video is backed with brilliant background score composed by two-time Oscar Award winner AR Rahman.
Tirru's cinematography adds huge value to the video and Prawin Pudi's editing is good. Overall, the trailer gives a brief outline of the story. And the eye-pleasing visuals come as a bonus to the fans of Suriya.
The trailer, which is released both in Tamil as well as Telugu versions, has garnered fantastic response from the audience. In less than 18 hours, the Tamil video of "24" has got over five lakh hits. It has fetched over 27,000 likes and more than 1,700 dislikes.
The Telugu version of the trailer has got over 1.20 lakh hits with over 3,000 likes and less than 100 dislikes.
Meanwhile, the music was also launched Monday and songs have also met with positive reviews. The album consists of six tracks and "Kaalam En Kaadhali," "Naan Un," "Mei Nigara" and "Aararoo" tracks have become hits among the Tamil music lovers.
Now, the makers are getting ready for the release of "24." The film, which was supposed to release April 14, will be out in the last week of April or in May.
"24" is a science-fiction movie about time travel. Vikram Kumar has written and directed the movie, which is produced by Suriya himself under the banner of 2D Entertainment.
