It appears like the work on the new avatar of the 390 Duke is progressing at a rapid pace. The 2017 390 Duke is back in the news again as the motorcycle hits the Indian roads for testing. A prototype of the KTM 390 Duke has been spied undergoing tests on the public roads for the first time, fuelling fresh rumours about the launch of the model in the country.

A YouTuber named Konvicted Rider has filmed the 2017 KTM 390 Duke while it was being tested on the Mumbai-Pune old highway. The 2017 KTM 390 Duke had earlier been seen in spy shots from Bajaj Auto's Chakan plant in June.

The 2017 KTM 390 Duke was spotted in its fully covered form, thus not giving out any key details of the model. The new 390 Duke is expected to get a new rear subframe and revised exhaust system. It is also expected to get twin headlamps, new instrument console, switch gears and tail-end design.

Powering the new 2017 KTM 390 Duke will be the reworked 375cc, single-cylinder engine, which in its new form is expected to generate more power than the current one. Currently, 390 Duke develops 43bhp of power.

2017 KTM 390 Duke is rumoured to enter production in October and will make its debut at the 2016 EICMA show in November. As for pricing, expect the KTM 390 Duke in its new avatar to be priced at a premium of RS. 20,000 on the current model.
