The new-gen Toyota Innova has reportedly clocked nearly 10,000 bookings in Indonesia since its entry into the market in November, 2015.

Indonesia is the only market where new the Innova is sold at present, and the MPV has been seeing an overwhelming response in the country. The Innova, which crossed 5,000 bookings within two weeks of its launch, has now almost touched 10,000 bookings, reports iotomotif.com.

Launched on 26 November, 2015, the new Innova MPV has been priced starting at IDR 282 million (approximately Rs 13.59 lakh). Known as Kijang in Indonesia, the second-generation Innova is being offered in three trims across 12 variants — V, G and Q — and in six body shades.

The new Innova measures 4,735mm in length, 1,830mm in width, and 1,795mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,750mm. The braking duties of the MPV are done by disc brakes at front and drum brakes in the rear, employed in 215/55 R17 tyres.

The engine line-up of the new Innova are a GD 2.4-litre diesel engine that develops 147bhp at 3,400rpm and 359Nm of torque at 1,200-2,800rpm, and the in-line four-cylinder 2,000cc VVT-i petrol engine developing 137bhp and 183Nm of torque. Both will be available with manual and automatic transmissions.

The new Toyota Innova is expected to make its India debut at the upcoming Auto Expo 2016 in February.
