It appears like Austrian motorcycle manufacturer KTM is gearing up to offer the new 2016 RC 390 super-sport motorcycle to its Indian fans in the country. The 2016 RC390, which made its debut at the 2015 EICMA in November this year, has been spied in India for the first time, fuelling fresh rumours on the auto corridors about the launch of the model in the domestic market.

Snapped by Facebook user 2016 KTM RC390, which gets the same colour theme and styling as the current one in the market, shows slipper clutch that will help the riders to downshift quickly. Other changes in the new avatar of RC390 include the new exhaust system replacing the under belly exhaust of current motorcycle, disconnectable ABS system, the bigger 320mm diameter front disc brakes, adjustable brake and clutch levers. In addition to this, the new KTM RC390 also features ride-by-wire technology.

As for the engine, there is no change and 2016 RC390 continues to be powered by the 373.2cc single cylinder, liquid cooled engine that churns out 43.4bhp at 9,500rpm and 35Nm torque at 7,250, mated to a six-speed transmission.

2016 KTM RC390 is expected to be launched in India sometime next year. With the new additional features on board, the new avatar of RC390 is likely to be priced higher than the current model in the market. Although the rumours swirling on the web indicate that the new RC390 is likely to make its market debut in the country at 2016 Auto Expo in February, a report of Motoroids states that it is unlikely as Bajaj is not participating in the Auto show this time.
