It looks like Hero MotoCorp is getting ready to roll out a new 125cc commuter motorcycle with its much-acclaimed i3s technology in India. The emerging reports suggest Hero's Super Splendor iSmart 125cc is heading for Auto Expo 2016, which is scheduled to start in early February in Greater Noida.

Hero is expected to launch the new 2016 Super Splendor iSmart 125cc motorcycle in the domestic market by March next year. According to GaadiWaadi, the new Super Splendor iSmart 125 is likely to deliver a fuel efficiency of nearly 90kmpl, which would be the segment-best.

Expected to be powered by 124.7 cc air cooled, four-stroke single cylinder OHC engine, Super Splendor iSmart 125 of Honda is likely to dish out 9bhp of power @ 7,000rpm and 10.35Nm of torque @ 4,000rpm.

From what we hear, the 2016 Hero Super Splendor iSmart is likely to get a similar styling of its 100cc sibling, but with minor tweaks like changes in the side panels and grab rail. The new 125cc commuter motorcycle is also expected to get new fuel tank and new three-pod instrument cluster with i3 badge. Hero is likely to price its new offering at around Rs 60,000 (ex-showroom).
