Volkswagen India pulled the wraps off its new Jetta facelift on Tuesday with a price tag of 13.87 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai).

The new Jetta, the facelifted avatar has received changes both inside and outside. Visually, the 2015 Jetta looks chic with its new front styling that includes a front grille, bi-xenon headlamp, day time running LED and foglamps.

The rear profile of the Jetta has also seen changes with new tail lamps. Inside the cabin, the dual tone interior of Jetta adds to the premium look of the car along with new flat-bottomed steering wheel.

The engine line-up of the model continues to include the same 1.4-litre TSI and 2.0-litre TDI. While the 1.4TSI is tuned to churn out 122PS peak power and 200Nm peak torque, the 2.0 TDI engine can generate 140 PS of power and 320 Nm of peak torque. The petrol comes only with manual transmissions and the diesel comes mated to either a six speed manual transmission or six speed DSG.

Offered in three trim levels ― Trendline, Comfortline and Highline ― new Jetta has been priced in the range of ₹13.87-₹19.77 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai).

In India, the new Jetta is pitted against the Toyota Corolla Altis, the Skoda Octavia, Chevrolet Cruze and Hyundai Elantra.
