Maruti Suzuki launched the facelift version of the popular Ertiga MPV for a starting price of Rs 5.99 lakh for petrol engine and Rs 7.55 lakh for diesel variants, ex-showroom Delhi. The latest editions of Ertiga comes with improved fuel efficiency -- 24.52kmpl, which is 18% higher in diesel variants and 17.5kmpl in petrol variants, which is 9% better -- according to Maruti Suzuki.

The main change to the upgraded Ertiga lies under the hood. The 1.3 multi-jet diesel engine, developing 89bhp and 200Nm of torque, will now come with SHVS small hybrid system that debuted with Ciaz hybrid.
The engine is mated to five-speed manual transmission. The regular diesel engine is phased out and the new Ertiga diesel is available with hybrid engine only.
A new automatic transmission is available with the petrol engine. The 1.4-litre K Series petrol engine producing 94bhp and 130Nm is mated to five-speed transmission.
The facelift comes with embossing three slat grille covered in chrome. The fog lamp bezel also gets chrome touches. At the rear, a horizontal chrome slat above the registration plate is added. The new Ertiga also adds two new colours - beige and new blue.
The interior is spruced up with engine start/stop button, new upholstery, electric folding mirrors and keyless entry and SmartPlay infotainment system, depending upon the variants.
Maruti Suzuki has taken special effort to increase safety. The driver-side airbag is now standard from the base trim while ABS and front passenger airbag are optional.
Maruti Suzuki has increased the price of Ertiga nominally. The outgoing Ertiga was priced starting at Rs 5.99 lakh for petrol variants and Rs 7.48 lakh for diesel variants, ex-showroom Delhi.
