Ahead of the 10 October launch of the Ertiga facelift, the scanned copies of the MPV's brochure have been leaked online.

According to Rushlane, the brochure confirms the Ertiga facelift will get the SHVS technology with diesel engine and a four- speed automatic transmission with the petrol engine.

The Ertiga facelift will be the second car featuring Maruti Suzuki's SHVS mild hybrid technology, the first was Ciaz hybrid on 1 September. The technology works in tandem with the 1.3 multi-jet diesel engine, developing 89bhp and 200Nm of torque mated to five-speed manual transmission. The SHVS hybrid system makes use of lithium ion battery that gets charged with the help of re-generative braking. The system converts the kinetic energy of the rolling wheels into electricity for charging the battery. Combined with the idle stop/start system, the 1.3-litre engine will return increased fuel efficiency.

The actual figure of the fuel efficiency is not out yet. Considering the current Ertiga without SHVS tech delivers 20.77kmpl, the new Ertiga likely to return in the range of 23kmpl.

The report further confirms the availability of four-speed automatic gearbox with the 1.4-litre K Series petrol engine producing 94bhp and 130Nm. The automatic transmission will be the same offered currently with the Swift Dzire. The petrol mill will also be available with five-speed manual transmission.

The new MPV comes with an array of cosmetic upgrades in the interior and on the exterior. The face sports an embossing three-slat chrome grill. The fog lamps get chrome housing and a newly-designed bumper. At the rear, a horizontal chrome slat above the registration plate and a set of reflectors on the bumper are the main changes.

The interior will be spruced up with engine start/stop button, new upholstery, electric folding mirrors, keyless entry and SmartPlay infotainment system.
