Looks like Hero MotoCorp's updated 2014 Hero Karizma R and Karizma ZMR are all set to reach Indian roads shortly. The dealerships of the company have started receiving the first assortment of bikes, indicating that the launch is not far.
IndianAutos Blog has posted the images of the Hero Karizma R and Karizma ZMR from the dealerships. The shipment of the bikes from the dealerships is likely to begin shortly, with some dealerships promising delivery within 8-10 days.
There are also reports that at some dealerships the bikes are ready for immediate delivery. The company has reportedly started accepting the bookings for upgraded editions of Karizma R and Karizma ZMR, which were first showcased at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo along with Hero's other bikes.
The much awaited 2014 Karizma R and Karizma ZMR look different in style and will hit the roads with additional features and power packed engines. Both the Karizma R and the Karizma ZMR will draw its power from the same 223 cc, single pot, four-stroke, air-cooled engine. While the Karizma R engine is re-tuned to pump in a power of 19.2 PS and a peak torque of 19.35 Nm, the engine in Karizma ZMR will churn out 20 PS power and 19.35 Nm torque. The power boost in the 2014 Karizma R will also help the bike to accelerate from 0-60 km/h in 3.8 seconds.
The new avatar of Hero Karizma R will host new projector headlamps, disc brake and digital analogue meter console. The on-Road, (New Delhi) price of the bike is ₹91,320.On the other hand, 2014 Hero Karizma ZMR will come with a price point of ₹114,210 and will come in five colours – black, red, white, grey and yellow.
Meanwhile, the company reported its highest ever quarterly sales of 15, 89,462 units of two-wheeler for Q4 (January-March) in FY14.
"These numbers are reflective of our new strategic approach focused on bringing path-breaking technologies and consolidating our leadership. FY'14 was all about setting new benchmarks, which culminated with the sales of 6.25 million during the year – our highest-ever sales for any financial year," said Pawan Munjal,Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer.
