The first look launch of Rajinikanth's 2.0, also known as Enthiran 2, will be a grand event which will be graced by who's who of film industry. The makers have organised the function in Mumbai on Sunday, November 20.
The latest buzz about the event is that the first-look launch of Rajinikanth's 2.0 is likely to be attended by Shahrukh Khan and Kamal Haasan. "Invitations have been sent to both Kamal sir and Shah Rukhji, and even arrangements have been made for their hospitality. However, they are yet to confirm their presence, and hence, an official announcement is still pending," a source from the film's unit told IANS.
It may be recalled that Rajinikanth had met Kamal Haasan at his residence recently. The Tamil superstar apparently invited the Vishwaroopam actor during his visit.
Apart from them, Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and many others have been reportedly invited for the first look launch of 2.0. Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar, Amy Jackson, AR Rahman and the entire cast-crew of 2.0 are expected to be in full attendance. It has to be noted that leading Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar is hosting the event.
Meanwhile, the shooting of 2.0 is progressing at a brisk pace and it is likely to be completed by the end of this year following which the team will head for the lengthy post-production works, majorly involving VFX works. The makers have plans to release the movie next summer.
2.0 is a science fiction film, in which Akshay Kumar plays the role of a scientist, Dr Richard. Adil Hussain, Amy Jackson, Riyaz Khan and many others are in the cast. The film has Nirav Shah's cinematography, Anthony's editing and AR Rahman's music.
It is a sequel to 2010 blockbuster Enthiran – The Robot, which had Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the female lead.
