Apple's latest iOS 7 came with an all-new design along with a host of different features when it was launched on 18 September.

However, with every new OS and Apple device, battery consumption seems to be a growing concern among users.

Here are some tips on how an Apple user can (unless the feature being used) save battery life by disabling certain features of the device running on iOS 7.

-Disable Location Services: Settings > General > Privacy and turn off the services.

One can scroll down under Location and Service and can turn off Diagnostics & Usage, Location-Based iAds, Popular Near Me, Setting Time Zone, Traffic and Frequent locations to help the device run for long.

-Disable Siri: Settings > General > Siri and turn off.

-Turn Off Bluetooth or Wi-Fi: Go to Settings > Bluetooth for turning off Bluetooth connectivity and Settings > Wi-Fi to turn off Wi-Fi wireless connections.

-Use 2G if Possible: Under Settings > Cellular > Turn off the Enable 3G/4G option.

-Notification Center: Go to Settings > Notification Center and turn off the options which are not needed at the moment as each one uses cellular data.

-Background Applications: Settings > General > Background App Refresh and disable it.

-Parallax Effect: Settings > General > Accessibility > Reduce Motion and enable it.

-Automatic Date: Set Automatic Date/ Time Update to off by going to Settings > General > Date & Time. Disable the "Set Automatically" option.

Disable Push Mails or Notifications: Disable all apps under Notification Center which send push notifications. Push email notifications can also be switched off under Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Fetch New Data and turn push off. It can be set to manual receiving of the mails or to check mail periodically.

-Turn off iCloud Features: One can turn off the unwanted iCloud features under Settings > iCloud.

-Auto - Brightness: Turn off the manual screen brightness and turn on the auto-brightness feature by heading over to Settings > Wallpapers & Brightness.

-Disable Advertising Tracking: Settings > Privacy > Advertising and turn on Limit Ad Tracking

-iMessage or FaceTime: One can turn off the iMessage/FaceTime application if not used. Go to Settings > Messages > turn off iMessage, or Settings > FaceTime and disable.

-Disable device vibration: Turn off the vibration mode whenever possible, unless the user is not in a noisy environment. Go to Settings > Sounds and disable Vibrate on Ring option and Vibrate on Silent option.

-iOS Keyboard and Lock/Unlock Sounds: One can turn off the lock/unlock sounds and iOS Keyboard (if not being used) by going to Settings > Sounds and turning of Lock Sounds and Keyboard Clicks.

-iTunes & App Store: Automatic updates can be stopped by disabling Music, Apps, Book and updates under Automatic Downloads in iTunes & App Store under the Settings tab.

-Disable AirDrop When Not In Use: Swipe upwards on the screen, tap on AirDrop and disable it.

-Airplane Mode: One can enable the Airplane mode when there is bad network coverage or while travelling by air. The option could be found under settings.
