Prank mails by a 14-year-old got him in deep trouble. Kolkata police on Tuesday arrested Sunny Shukla for sending mails to NIA and a TV channel claiming that Indian Mujahideen was behind the New Delhi High Court blast that claimed 11 lives.

Apparently, a student of an English medium school, Shukla sent prank mails because he was looking for excitement. Police sources claim that he created a flutter with the two mails he sent on September 8 and 9.

Shukla, a resident of Pakur, a place near the Bengal-Jharkhand border, sent mails that threatened of new explosions at public places within few days.

Police sources also claim, since he was looking for constant excitement, a few days ago he had sent a mail to BCCI demanding that M S Dhoni be replaced as a captain with Parthiv Patel. When his mail did not get him attention, he sent the mail to NIA and a TV channel claiming that Indian Mujahideen was behind the Delhi HC blasts.

He was charged under IT section 66A, 66B and 257A of IPC and has been produced at the juvenile court on Wednesday, police said.
