Asia's biggest fashion week, the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW), will begin in New Delhi on Oct. 8.

The Spring Summer edition of the WIFW-2012 will be held at Hall No. 18 of India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO), Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.

"131 designers from across the country would showcase on the fashion week and will witness 34 spectacular shows, and 183 designer stalls at the exhibit area covering over 100,000 sq.ft," says a press release on the official Web site of the council.

The objective of the WIFW is to encourage and endorse designers to grow their brands nationally and internationally as also to widen their customers, says the press release.

The event is organized by the Fashion Design Council of India and is supported by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.
