Several budget and mid-budget smartphones were released in India last month, which means prospective buyers in the country will have the luxury of more handsets to choose from. New devices like Moto G4 Plus, Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016), Lenovo ZUK Z1, Meizu M3 Note and a few others will now compete with some popular handsets such as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, Lenovo K4 Note and others in the Indian market.

Here is a list of top 10 best smartphones under-Rs. 15,000 you can buy in June (not in particular order):

1) Moto G4 Plus: It comes in two models, one with a 16GB internal storage and 2GB RAM priced at Rs. 13,499, and the other with a 32GB internal memory and 3GB RAM with a price tag of Rs. 14,999. Both the models have expandable memory option up to 128GB via microSD card and sports a 5.5-inch display with 1,080x1,920 pixels (401 ppi pixel density).

Under the hood, the device has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor, Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, 16MP main camera with OmniVision Pure Cel Plus sensor, PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus) and dual-LED flash, 5MP camera with wide-angle lens, and a 3,000mAh battery with Turbo charger.

2) Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016): It sports a 5.2-inch HD Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 720x1,280 pixels (282 ppi pixel density) and comes with a price tag of Rs. 13,999. Under the hood, it has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, 16GB internal storage, 2GB RAM, memory expandable up to 128GB via microSD card, 13MP main camera with features like f/1.9 aperture, 28mm, autofocus and LED flash, 5MP front-snapper with f/1.9 aperture and LED flash, and a 3,100mAh battery.

3) Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 (32GB): Priced at Rs. 11,999, the device sports a 5.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 1,080x1,920 pixels (403 ppi pixel density), powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor and runs Android 5.0.2 Lollipop. It also features a 16GB/32GB internal storage (no microSD card slot), 3GB RAM, 16MP main camera with f/2.0 aperture, 5MP secondary camera with f/2.0, and a 4,000mAh battery.

4) OnePlus X: It sports a 5-inch screen with 1,080x1920 pixels (441 ppi pixel density) and comes with a price tag of Rs. 14,999. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, comes packed with a 16GB internal memory (expandable up to 128GB via microSD card) and 3GB RAM, and houses a 2,525mAh battery. It also mounts a 13MP main camera with f/2.2 aperture, 1/3" sensor size and 1.14 µm pixel size features, and an 8MP front-snapper with f/2.4 aperture.

5) Lenovo ZUK Z1: The device comes with a price tag of Rs. 13,499 and sports a 5.5-inch Full HD display with 1,080x1,920 pixels (401 ppi pixel density). Under the hood, it has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, Android 5.1.1 Lollipop based CyanogenMod 12.1, 64GB internal storage, 3GB RAM, and a 4,100mAh battery. It also mounts a 13MP main camera with 1.2µm, dual-LED flash, OIS (Optical Image Stabilization), Sony Exmor RS sensor, f/2.2 aperture and 5 physical lens, and an 8MP camera with 1.4µm pixel and f/2.2 aperture.

6) Micromax Canvas 6: It sports a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display with 1,080x1,920 pixels (401 ppi pixel density), and comes with a price tag of Rs. 13,999. It is powered by a MediaTek MT6753 processor, run Android 5.1 Lollipop and comes packed with a 32GB internal storage and a 3GB RAM with memory expandable up to 64GB via microSD card. It also has a 13MP main camera with f/2.0 aperture, phase detection autofocus and LED flash, and an 8MP front-snapper.

7) Lenovo K4 Note: It is priced at Rs. 11,999 and sports a 5.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with a 1,080x1920 pixels (401 ppi pixel density). Under the hood, it has a Mediatek MT6753 processor clocking at 1.3 GHz, Android 5.1 Lollipop with Vibe UI 3.0, 16GB internal memory (expandable up to 128GB), 3GB RAM, 13MP main camera with f/2.2 aperture, a 5MP front-snapper, and a 3,300mAh battery.

8) Meizu M3 Note: Priced at Rs. 9,999, the device sports a 5.5-inch full HD display with 1,080x1,920 pixels (403 ppi pixel density), powered by a MediaTek Helio P10 processor, and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop based FlymeOS operating system.

The device comes packed with 16/32GB internal storage and 2/3GB RAM with memory expandable up to 128GB via microSD card, mounts a 13MP main camera with f/2.2 aperture, PDAF and dual tone LED flash and a 5MP front-snapper, and powered by a 4,100mAh battery.

9) Asus Zenfone Max: The device comes in two variants, one with a 2GB RAM priced at Rs. 9,999, and the other with 3GB RAM with a price tag of Rs. 12,999. It sports a 5.5-inch HD IPS display with 720x1,280 pixels (267 ppi pixel density), powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, and runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow based ZenUI.

The device also has 32GB internal storage with memory expandable up to 64GB via microSD card, a 13MP main camera with f/2.0 aperture and dual LED flash, a 5MP front-snapper, and a 5,000mAh battery.

10) LeEco Le 1s: Priced at Rs. 10,999, the device sports a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS In Cell display with a 1,080x1,920 pixels (403 ppi pixel density), powered by a Mediatek Helio X10 processor clocking at 2.2GHz, and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop based eUi OS.
