The trade on Ajith's upcoming film "Veeram" has begun in full swing. The distributing rights of the film for NSC (North Arcot - South Arcot - Chengalpet) and Chennai areas have been bought for a huge sum by Ramanarayanan of Sri Thenandal Films.

Confirming the news, Entertainment Industry Tracker Sreedhar Pillai tweeted, "#Veeram trade Arrambam - NSC & Chennai City sold 2 Ramanarayanan of Thenandal Films 4 a whopping amount."

"Veeram" is expected to get a wide release in Chennai and NSC areas as the film's distributors have great experience in this business. Thenandal Films purchased the distribution rights of Ajith's latest release "Arrambam" for the Chengalpet area alone. They managed to get the film screened in a large number of screens in that area, reported Behindwoods.

"Veeram" is also expected to be shown in more number of screens in NSC and Chennai areas as they are among the key markets for Tamil films. The website reported that the trade negotiations for the film are taking place in other areas including Trichy, Salem, Coimbatore and Madurai.

According to Sify, the film's distribution rights in other places of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala is likely to be finalised by the end of the week.

Directed by "Siruthai" Siva, "Veeram" is deemed as a commercial entertainer. The film has Tamannah, Santhanam, Bala, Munish, Suhail, Vidarth and Nassar in pivotal roles.

The Ajith starrer is all set to release for Pongal 2014. The film is heading for a big clash with Vijay's "Jilla" which is also set to release around the festival period. The film, directed by RT Nesan, will have Kajal Aggarwal, Malayalam actor Mohanlal, yestear actress Poornima and Mahat Raghavendra in important roles.
