Ajith-Gautham Menon film is yet to go on floors, but there have been a lot of speculations about the project prior to its official announcement.

Recently, there was a buzz that the Karate expert Shihan Hussaini will be part of the Ajith-Gautham Menon project. But Hussaini has denied the rumours and clarified about it on his social media page.

He posted a message on his Facebook page saying, "My attention was brought to some reports in leading websites today that I will be acting in Goutam menon's film starring Thala Ajit. I strongly deny this. Neither did Goutam invite me to act, nor did I agree to do this film."

"Goutam Menon is a good friend and we have met on a few occasions recently. That's all. Ajit is one of my favorite actors and Goutam is a talented director. But I won't be acting in any movie till I launch my own production UDIVU ! Soon !," he further said.

Now that clarifies the speculations regarding Hussaini's presence in the film. However, there has been more such rumours about the film doing the rounds on social media circles.

Buzz is that Ajith will be playing as an investigative police officer in "Thala 55" (tentatively titled). There are also rumours that the film will have two villains. The actor to play one of the villain role has been cast, while discussions with respect to the casting for the second role are happening, reported Behindwoods.

The website also claims that Dan MacArthur and SRKathir are under consideration to handle the film's cinematography. However, there is no official confirmation on the same.

The shooting of "Thala 55" is expected to kick start in a week's time in Chennai. The film will likely have Anushka Shetty as the female lead and Harris Jayaraj as the music composer.

A popular Tamil actor is also said to be doing a pivotal role in the Ajith starrer, which will be produced by AM Ratnam.
