A 12-year-old boy, shocked over Jiah Khan's suicide news, was found dead at his home in Rajasthan's Sri Ganganagar district on Tuesday, in an apparent case of suicide.

The boy, who was in class five, was found hanging in the afternoon, less than 24 hours after the actress committed suicide.

On Tuesday morning, the teenager, identified as Babu, woke up to the news of Jiah Khan's death and beagn repeatedly watching the news reports of the actress, PTI reported a police officer as saying.

"He became depressed after watching the news of Jiah Khan's death. Later he brought some DVDs of Jiah Khan's movies and started watching them. In the afternoon, the boy confined himself to a room. He did not even lock the room and hanged from the ceiling fan," a police officer said.

"He was found hanging from the ceiling and his television and DVD player were on. We have also recovered some DVDs of the film in which Jiah Khan had acted," said a police officer. 

The boy also asked his mother why the actress took such a drastic step and ended her life. His mother convinced him and told him not to the news seriously.

Later in the afternoon, when the mother was busy cooking the boy hanged himself from the ceiling, officer Ramesh Chand told PTI.

The 25-year-old actress, originally known as Nafisa, allegedly hanged herself at her residence in Juhu on Monday night. Her untimely death has shocked the film industry and fans across the world.  

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan, with whom Jiah made her debut in "Nishabd", is very sad and upset about her death.

"I am very sad and also worried. It feels strange to talk about it. Sometimes there are situations when someone gets sad and depressed. They come with dreams and when it is not fulfilled, they give up. I want to say that to end your life like this is not good. I am deeply upset with what has happened with Jiah Khan," Big B said during an event, according to IANS.
