Directed by Thiru, "Naan Sigappu Manithan" is a revenge drama with all the commercial elements. The film has Vishal appearing in the role of a guy who suffers from narcolepsy, a rare sleep disorder.

Lakshmi has teamed with Vishal for the second time in a row, post the success of "Pandiyanadu". "NSM" also has Jagan, Saranya Ponvannan, Jagan and Jayaprakash in supporting roles.

The film is carrying huge expectations as a result of its slick trailer and impressive songs. "NSM" is expected to take a good opening on the first day of its release. Since the film is set to hit the screens during the four-day-long Tamil New Year weekend, it is likely to attract more crowd.

Will "NSM" Affect "Maan Karate" Business?

Sivakarthikeyan-Hansika starrer "Maan Karate" is doing fantastic business at the box office. Despite getting mixed reviews, the film opened well in its debut weekend and continued to perform well in the following days.

The fantasy romantic entertainer is likely to end its first week on a good note. However, it remains to be seen how the film fares in its second week (from 11 April), once the Vishal starrer hits the screens.

If "Naan Sigappu Manithan" lives up to the expectations and manages to get positive reviews from critics, as well as from the audience, it is likely to affect the busines of "Maan Karate." On the other hand, if the film fails to impress the fans, it might work in favour of "Maan Karate" and the Siva starrer might continue its good run at the box office.

One needs to wait a little longer to see if "NSM" plays spoilsport for "Maan Karate" or vice versa.
