The audio launch of Rajinikanth's magnum opus "Kochadaiiyaan" (aka "Kochadaiyaan") has been further delayed.

Earlier, it was reported that the film's audio launch is slated for 12 December, which happens to be Rajinikanth's birthday. But now the makers have pushed the launch date to January 2014.

According to entertainment industry tracker Sreedhar Pillai, the music of "Kochadaiiyaan" will be released in the first week of January, whereas the film's release date has been pushed to April 2014.

"#Kochadaiiyaan audio which was scheduled for Dec 12 on Superstar Rajinikanth's b'day postponed 2 January first week.Release pushed 2 April," Sreedhar tweeted.

The Rajini starrer has been getting delayed for the past few months. The film was expected to release in November, but it did not happen. Later, reports emerged that "Kochadaiiyaan" will be hitting screens on 12 December, but one of the film's producers announced that the audio launch will take place on the eve of Rajinikanth's birthday, while the film will release in January.

Once again, "Kochadaiiyaan" audio launch and release dates have been delayed, which is likely to upset Rajini fans.

The buzz surrounding "Kochadaiiyaan" is huge, as the film stars the superstar as the main lead. The first look teaser of the epic drama, which was released in September this year, received good response from the audience. A single number from the film's album was released in October. The song titled "Engae Pogudho Vaanam" has been sung by legendary singer SP Balasubramaniyam.

Fans are eager to see their Thalaivar (Rajini) in 3D avatar in "Kochadaiiyaan", which is touted to be India's first motion capture technology film. 

The epic drama's music has been composed by Oscar winner AR Rahman. The film, written by K. S. Ravikumar, marks the directorial debut of Rajinikanth's youngest daughter Soundarya.  Its cinematography is handled by Rajiv Menon, whereas editing is done by Anthony.

The Rajini starrer, which is made on a whopping budget of ₹125 crore has been produced by Eros International and Media One Global Entertainment. The film's cast members include Deepika Padukone, Sarath Kumar, Aadhi, Shobana, Jackie Shroff and Nassar.
