As a special New Year treat to fans, the makers of "Jilla" and "1 Nenokkadine" released small teasers online. The videos have received fantastic response from fans and have each got more than 10 lakh hits.
Jilla
The official teaser of "Jilla", which was released on 1 January, has received more than 13 lakh hits in just three days. The small video, which showcases Vijay and Mohanlal's bonding with a catchy background music has got more than 10,000 likes and over 3,000 comments on YouTube, the video-sharing site where official "Jilla" teaser has been uploaded.
The teaser does not reveal much about the film, but fans still thronged YouTube to see their favourite stars - Mohanlal and Vijay. This is pure evidence as to how fans are eagerly waiting to watch the film on the big screen.
A second teaser of the film was released on the following day and the video has received more than 4 lakh hits in just two days.
"Jilla" shooting has been wrapped up and the film's post production work is going on at a brisk pace. The film, deemed as an action-packed entertainer, is all set to rock the screens from 10 January.
It is now assured that there is going to be a big battle between "Jilla" and Ajith's "Veeram", which is also releasing on the same date. Both the films are expected to take a fantastic opening on the first of its release. However, they are expected to face strong competition from Telugu releases including "1 Nenokkadine" and "Yevadu" at the Tamil Nadu and overseas box office.
1 Nenokkadine
Mahesh Babu's "1 Nenokkadine" is gearing up for a massive release on 10 January. The film's much-awaited teaser/trailer, which was released on the New Year day, has taken the internet by storm.
The stunning video has received more than 10 lakh hits in just three days. "1 Nenokkadine", which has been in the making for around a year, is one of the most-awaited films of 2014.
The film will be the first big Telugu release of 2014, which will be followed by Ram Charan's "Yevadu" that is hitting screens on 12 January.
"1 Nenokkadine" is heading for a big clash with "Yevadu" during the Sankranti festival. Interestingly, the films of both the actors clashed at the box office during 2013 Sankranti festival period and they turned out to be big hits.
This Sankranti, "1 Nenokkadine" and "Yevadu" are likely to take a massive opening upon their release. But, it remains to be seen as to whether both the films will emerge as big winners or only one will make it to the top list.
