Comedian Kapil Sharma will give a miss to the seventh season of the dance reality show "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa."

As reported previously, the "Comedy Nights with Kapil" star's role as a host in "JDJ 7" was under doubt. And now it has been stated that Sharma will not take up his hosting role owing to his busy schedule, especially due to the shooting of his debut film "Bank Chor."

"Sharma has signed up three films and will be shooting simultaneously for "Comedy Nights with Kapil" and his movie "Bank Chor." Last year, he had found it stressful shooting for "Jhalak.." and "Comedy..." Now with a film also, it will not be possible," a source revealed to DNA.

The source further added that Manish Paul, who had hosted the show last season with Sharma might continue his stint this year too. But it is quite likely that the actor will be paired with a female hostess and comedian Bharti Singh's name has come up as a probable contender.

Singh, who had earlier participated in Season 5 of the reality show, revealed that she hasn't been approached for the show yet, but stated, "My two passions are comedy and dance. If I host "Jhalak..." I will get an opportunity to dance," reported the tabloid.

Meanwhile, child star and dancing sensation Akshat Singh's name has been confirmed as one of the participants of "JDJ 7."

The young boy who rose to fame aping Salman Khan's dance moves in "India Got Talent" Season 5 was in news recently as he appeared in "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" and wowed the audience and host alike with his wacky moves.

Singh has also been approached in Kapil Sharma's "Comedy Nights with Kapil" to play Palak aka Kikku Sharda's younger brother.

Apart from Singh, Karan Tacker, VJ Andy, Mouni Roy, Shakti Singh and Pooja Bose's names have been confirmed as participants in the upcoming "JDJ 7".
