"2 States" earned fairly well on its third Friday as compared to other Hindi releases this week.

The romantic comedy is still going strong on its third consecutive week even after witnessing a marginal drop since its initial weeks. On Friday, the film fetched around ₹1.67 crore taking its current figure to ₹ 88.98 crore at the box office, according to Taran Adarsh.

"#2States inches closer to ₹100 crore mark. Week 3 - Fri 1.67 cr. Grand total: ₹88.98 crore nett. India biz. SUPER HIT," Adarsh tweeted on Saturday.

On its third week, the film's collection has fallen by over 50 percent as compared to its second week, but the film is undoubtedly a super-hit and has surpassed the figures of "Bhoothnath Returns" and "Queen."

"2 States" has successfully braved previous week's releases "Revolver Rani" and Subash Ghai's "Kaanchi" on its third Friday. Kangana Ranaut's "Revolver Rani" grossed ₹8.75 crore nett and "Kaanchi" around ₹3.5-3.75 crore nett after their first week run. While Rajeev Khandelwal's sleuth act in "Samrat & Co" is said to have earned at below ₹1.50 crore at the end of its first week, reported Box Office India.

Even this week's Hindi releases "Purani Jeans" and "Kya Dilli Kya Lahore" has fared poorly with weak opening day collections.

The Arjun-Alia starrer has already made it to ₹100 crore mark globally after two weeks and going by the statistics, the film is likely to end up over ₹90 crore mark at the end of its third week.
